Karen, this has always been so upsetting. I can be on my landline phone or in the car with a friend and whatever we mentioned will show up in an email or Facebook ad. I understand the shopping online and being tracked. But talking. Scary. My friend went to Home Depot to look at a refrigerator and talked to no one. She then got ads for it.

You hit the nail on the head, Lynn. Sometimes, I think I'm a dinosaur by not giving in to modern technology, and I'm beginning to understand I may stand more protected as a result, but we all use computers, phones, and televisions. No one is immune. Scary indeed.

They purposely withhold this activity from the Terms and Conditions so that users have no idea what they are getting into. And when they do, it's too late.
